New From the VAQT workforce family

Attendance for a workforce that was never in one place.

You might have a head office with a fixed terminal, a dozen sites whose gates didn't exist last month, project managers who want their own numbers, and a head office that wants one total by nine. VAQT Neo is built for that kind of business.

Wherever people punch in

Most attendance systems assume everyone walks through the same door.

Yours don't. Neo covers the head office, every site and the whole company in one attendance record, so you're not comparing three systems that never agree.

In the office

Staff look at the screen and they're in.

Face terminals on the wall at the entrance check staff in as they arrive. There are no cards to lose, no PINs to share and no queue at the start of the shift.

Neo also works with terminals you already own. Old and new devices feed the same record, so there's no need to replace equipment that works.

On remote sites

Attendance where there's no office.

A supervisor takes a rugged handheld to wherever the workers are, whether that's the site entrance, the bus or the muster point. It recognises faces in under a second, even in direct sunlight, and needs no cables, mains power or network.

If there's no signal, the handheld stores each punch and uploads it later with the original time.

At scale

Built for large workforces.

Register someone's face once, at any gate, and every device will recognise them. When a worker moves to another project, nobody has to register them again.

Rosters update on every terminal automatically, and each device reports exactly what it holds. Neo also checks for people registered twice and for two people sharing one employee code, so nobody's hours end up under someone else's name.

Neo hardware

Three terminals, chosen by where people punch in.

A fixed terminal for the main gate, a battery-backed one for remote compounds, and a handheld for crews on the move. All three report to the same Neo console.

Geofencing

Geofencing that tells you something useful.

Every punch on a handheld records where it happened. Draw a boundary around a site, and Neo notes whether each punch was inside it and, if not, how far away.

  • Spots fake-location apps, so a punch made from someone's sofa is flagged.
  • Flags punches with no location at all. Usually that just means GPS was switched off.
  • Start by just recording. Neo logs each location and photo from day one without challenging anyone, while you fine-tune your boundaries.
  • Turn on enforcement when you're ready. From then on, only real exceptions reach the review queue.

A site's geofence in VAQT Neo: a five-cornered boundary drawn on the map, with its area, perimeter, centre and the date it came into force.
Draw the boundary on the map. Neo shows its area and perimeter and the date it took effect, so later punches are judged against the right fence.

Site and project

A site is a gate. A project is a contract.

If a system treats them as the same thing, one of your reports will always be wrong. Neo keeps them separate: employees belong to sites, and sites belong to projects.

  • Site managers see their own gate. Project managers see every site on their contract, with the site office and the site counted separately. Head office sees everything.
  • You can break every dashboard figure down by site or by project.

Scheduled reports

Reports that arrive before you ask.

Every morning, yesterday's attendance arrives by email as a PDF and a spreadsheet.

  • HR gets every site in one file. Each project gets its own, and you set up its recipients once for the whole contract.
  • Each site also gets its own report, so the detail isn't lost.
  • The report goes out even on a day with no attendance, so an empty inbox always means something is wrong.

Built for the awkward realities

Factories and sites don't run on a simple in-and-out.

Neo handles the situations most systems leave you to fix in a spreadsheet.

Configurable punch types

Add your own punch types beyond check-in and check-out, and decide how often each can be used, how much time is deducted and whether it counts as worked hours.

Terminal direction

Set each terminal for entry only, exit only or both, to match how each gate is used.

Shifts and time off

Shift patterns, weekly days off, leave, overtime and night shifts that run past midnight all work as standard.

How Neo keeps one clean day

The record stays right when people use different gates, the network drops, or the rules change.

Paired in the cloud

In and out events are paired centrally, so entering at one gate and leaving at another still makes one day.

Rules as of the punch

A late punch is judged by the policy in force when it happened, not by today's settings.

Ordered offline sync

Terminals store punches while offline and send them in order when they reconnect, with none lost or doubled.

Trusted clocks

A terminal checks its clock before it records, so punch times can be relied on.

Audited corrections

Every change leaves a trail, and closed attendance stays closed for payroll.

See Neo on your estate.

Tell us about your gates, your sites without signal and the terminals you already have. We'll show you how Neo brings them into one record, and where VAQT HRM fits if you also need payroll and HR.
