Turning NFC access cards into digital business cards for a Middle East-wide sustainability initiative

A large company wanted to eliminate paper business cards across its Middle East operations as part of a broader environmental initiative, but needed a way to do it without adding a separate card or device for employees to carry — ideally building on something they already used.

Golden Synapse built a custom solution that converted the company's existing NFC access cards into digital business cards, letting employees share contact details with a simple tap rather than issuing a new physical card. The solution was deployed as a custom development project across the company's Middle East operations.

The company successfully eliminated paper business cards across its Middle East footprint, directly supporting its environmental initiative while turning an access card employees already carried into a dual-purpose tool.
